Summary

In this video we discuss a series of ways you can apply yourself to lead and create polarity in your relationship

Lesson notes

Masculine energy is a powerful guiding force that holds, empowers, penetrates, and creates. It is deeply aware, conscious, present, and grounded – like a king who sits in a watch tower and keeps order of his kingdom. It does not seek to control women or the feminine – rather, it is deeply in service toward the feminine and the world they share together.

In a relationship, the masculine is always paying attention – to his needs, and to his lover’s and family’s. From this awareness, he invites what is best for everyone.

A good leader recognizes that he doesn’t make all the decisions either – he invites his partner in to guide and support him where she feels called to.

Here are 6 powerful forms of masculine leadership that will benefit any relationship:

Emotional leadership:

He attunes to her inner world, asks how she’s feeling, and follows up after conflict to create repair.

He anticipates her needs during difficult phases such as PMS and menstruation and supports her with presence, not pressure.

Domestic leadership:

He helps take care of the home—cleaning, organizing, and co-creating a space that feels calm and cared for.

He handles what needs to be handled without waiting to be asked or letting things pile up.

Financial leadership:

You help plan – saving, investing, and long-term strategy – so the future feels steady and predictable.

You lead with foresight, making decisions with your partner, with both the relationship and your family’s future in mind.

Relational leadership:

You initiate regular check-ins, guide meaningful conversations, and lean into uncomfortable truths instead of avoiding them.

You get to know her triggers and share about your own so the relationship grows in safety and honesty.

Visionary leadership:

You think ahead, write down goals, and lead conversations about the life you’re building together.

You bring direction and intention instead of drifting through the relationship.

Self leadership:

You do your emotional work, take care of your body, and show up with regulated energy.

You see that every aspect of how you run your life affects how you show up in the relationship, and you seek to live in the highest integrity you can.

Sexual leadership:

You attune to her body, pace, and emotional state, leading with presence rather than performance.

You create safety through slowness, communication, and clarity, guiding and helping her co-create the experience so she feels listened to, empowered, safe, and deeply met.

Note: There is a difference between performative masculinity and authentic masculinity. When we embody the masculine from a place of love and truly wanting to because it feels true, we are far more powerful than when we do these things as “acting”.

Discussion Questions

Questions to reflect on:

  • What does it feel like in my body when I’m living from my masculine core vs. when I’m just performing?
  • What does my authentic masculinity and masculine leadership look like? What actions do I take and not take and why?
  • Which of the above areas of leadership do I feel the most in my power around? Where do I feel the most resistance or struggle?
  • Make a plan on how you will embody masculine leadership in a deeper way.
